as with all the things, everybody (usually some clever ‘genius’) thinks that something simple needs their unasked for, unnecessary interpretation. oh look, I just described about every snot nosed know/do nothing who grew up without a legit childhood that tries to correct everybody, all the time about everything heh heh. hilarity ensues.  usually this ‘highly revolutionary’ imagining is just a pile of bloated features they think will wow and dazzle us all. I don’t want nor need to learn something like notion syntax. notion being a web based Microsoft word as far as I’m concerned (and will remain as such). whatever has ‘pricing’ in their nav menu buh bye.why pay for shit? get your freegan freak on. everybody and their mother thinks they are entitled to have their hands in your wallet because of some shitty service or app they developed as their future retirement plan. newsflash: there are 10 others which will probably be better than yours and more cost effective (e.g.: free). yet alas this is the attitude and fake genius of kids who are wastrels throughout cyberspace, trying to get rich real quick so they can retire before they reach college. whether being a famewhore, influencer, or inventing something retarded and passing it off as fake genius. example in this is rupi kaur’s horrendous vogon poetry that is Milk & Honey. Can we change the title to: Milked you for money honey. accurate. and don’t even get me started on Atticus the poet. he makes fellow Canadian grifter rupi seem like a pullitzer prize winner by comparison.  rupi kaur looks like a villainous from Star Trek, but Atticus gives the vibes of a serial killer disguised as sensitive artist genius. the kind who keeps females locked in a remote, deep rural house basement he inherited. then tortures them with control freakish ways until they develop Stockholm syndrome and pretend to be in love with this masked buffoon.
call me a purist, but I wish for things to revert to the freegan format of yesterweb 1.0, when not only was it free it was urged to use it with great thanks. I know times have changed but we needn’t all become material whores to ‘make it’.

okay here’s a few which aren’t half bad:

IA Writer: my current fav, its clean and minimalist in the UI, robust and does what you need it. it does cost, something like $30. I paid for a lifetime of free upgrades, forgot when.

Obsidian: another great one, this one free is note taking one thats  capable of letting you connect cards and do some fancy   stuff.

Hemmingway editor: well known, supposed to help you in your writing by correcting mistakes both spelling + grammar wise. which most AI can already well do.
