how I felt moving from Chiraq to North Carolina.

is there a sacrifice? yes.

had to sacrifice the urge to compete vs. myself, vs. others and to placate societies demand that I find some sense of identity, purpose, and triumph in playing ‘the game’. gone were the superfluous unctions to stimulate the economy or upgrade on black friday, or dole out gift cards on Christmas. yet, I already knew this whilst in a city. I was unplugged from the Matrix on Aug 31st, 2019. I felt giddy, apprehensive, adventurous, and who tf knew this was going to work somehow? I’m still here y’allz kicking it, making it. here could be anywhere, and anywhere is right here. this town which felt like the perfect setting for a Hallmark romance channel movie where your car breaks down, and the entire town wants you to hook up with the nearest strangely hot + single mayors daughter. This is literally the Shire meets Virgin River and a town out of Twilight Zone. just missing some wizards + dragons and shit.
