know your enemy
I’m sick of trick or treaters in costumes disguised as leaders.

if things are this bad now, imagine 10 years from now. it’s hard to envision that and I don’t want to dwell on that. too heavy, too weighty, too negative in nature. I am after all a poet and artist so I’m sensitive like that (huhuhuh I made an art/poetry joke: +25 points).
nowadays people act like this: they pretend they’ve just been molested by care bears at an Asian spa and subsist on rabbit food exclusively. lotus eaters or new age sensitive people. they have an opinion about their opinions and are know it alls that own it all (the information). they’ve read more articles than you somehow, written by authors with the exact same viewpoints as their own. no variance, no deviating from these carefully curated perspectives. nobody can tell them shit, nobody can correct them and if you dare to? You’re branded a liar, a renegade, an outcast, social pariah. somebody with a warped soul and a deranged mind. they’ll play this game repetitively to win some war playing out in their minds. gas-lighting and denigrating you while elevating themselves. hyper sensitive but hyper insensitive towards others. having these arch types is one thing but the problem is they take on apprentices and infect others with their right think (group think). we like to think we’re somehow superior whether physically, emotionally, spiritually or mentally than our enemies. but the Chinese? A typical one can work in a factory under less than ideal conditions operating like a robot chicken. only difference is he or she isn’t bitching and whining about it. like they deserve some special recognition for it. they get family, have a better understanding of friendship and academia. they even invent shit and get more creative than us. meanwhile we’re squabbling about the stupidest crap imaginable and engaging in endless opinion wars about granular details. a hamster wheel gilded cage for us to occupy. they work in perfect harmony like the Borg from Star Trek: the next generation. meanwhile all these American’s hate their own country, hate their own countrymen and can’t even recite the pledge of allegiance or national anthem. their idea of suffering is going w/o starbucks for a day. they wouldn’t even be able to survive in a foreign country for a week.
when certain people come into the dojo I notice they do so thinking they are special. like they’re Neo from the Matrix or something. they want to be an overnight master. they don’t care about true martial arts. they want a quick and dirty watered down version of it. then wonder why they get their asses kicked in real life encounters and situations. because they lacked discipline, and knowledge, humility, or respect for the teacher or the teaching. they want the end lesson to be their first. the accelerated cliff notes take. most of them act like they’re doing me a favor by paying me for my time. in reality I’m undercharging them. most haters like that sniveling little racist shit Quentin Tarantino dis Bruce Lee b/c he was cocky. it’s not cocky or arrogant when you know your shit. but it sure is when you think you’re a bad ass when you’re simply a white belt. not that we have belt systems in jeet kune do.
